An introduction to the 2010 exhibition with curator Dr Barnaby Wright. This was the first exhibition to explore the extraordinary group of paintings of post-war London building sites by Frank Auerbach (born 1931), one of Britain's greatest living artists.

Artist Nathalie Miebach takes weather data from massive storms and turns it into complex sculptures that embody the forces of nature and time. These sculptures then become musical scores for a string quartet to play.

Ikebana master and installation artist Tetsunori Kawana on his second year back at The New York Botanical Garden, constructing a giant bamboo sculpture as part of Kiku: The art of the Japanese Chrysanthemum.

Artist Theo Jansen demonstrates the amazingly lifelike kinetic sculptures he builds from plastic tubes and lemonade bottles. His creatures are designed to move -- and even survive -- on their own.
