Reference your sources

Referencing is an essential aspect of academic honesty.  

By including citations and references in your work you are:

  • giving credit to the author of that information
  • showing that you have used a range of relevant, reliable sources.
 

The Research Process

 

You are at the Present stage of the Research Process - 

Present your topic using the appropriate format

In the 'Present' section:

Take notes

Quote, paraphrase and summarise

Avoid plagiarism

Reference your sources

Use Turnitin

Write an abstract

Plan a presentation

It is important to understand referencing before you begin to write your essay; you write you will need to keep track of all the sources that you use.
