Plagiarism occurs when someone reproduces another person's words, ideas of findings and presents them as their own without proper acknowledgement.

Plagiarism can have extremely serious consequences so it is essential to understand how to avoid it.

 

The Research Process

Present your topic using the appropriate format

In the 'Present' section:

Take notes

Quote, paraphrase and summarise

Avoid plagiarism

Reference your sources

Use Turnitin

Write an abstract

Plan a presentation
