Creating your References list

You are likely to find information in lots of different places when you complete a piece of school work.  

 

For example if you are doing a project on volcanoes you might use:

It is important that all the sources of information used for your piece of work, are included in your 'References' list.

So, as explained on the 'Referencing' page you need to include:

  •  Citations in your work to show where you found the information you have used,
  • a Reference List which includes more details about each of your citations.  

To create your reference list, follow the instructions below to find out how to reference different types of resources.

Try to use the correct punctuation and layout when you are making your reference list, these are highlighted in red.
