Kahlo's Husband

Image 2

Frida Kahlo married Diego Rivera in 1929.  Diego was twenty years older than Frida and was already a famous artist when they met.  They very much wanted to have children but Frida could not have any.  They moved to the United States in 1930 but Frida did not like living there and they returned to Mexico in 1933 (find out more about Frida in America here).  Frida and Diego had a troubled marriage and divorced in 1939 but one year later they married each other again!   Frida's father died in 1941 and Diego and Frida moved into the house where Frida was born, "The Blue House".
